Both DYE VL and DYE SR handpieces use advanced fluorescent technology (AFT) which utilises the energy that would otherwise go unused and converts this to energy that can be distributed evenly, meaning that even low treatment settings can be very effective at treating and managing a variety of conditions, while minimizing the risk of adverse effects that can usually be associated with other forms of energy such as normal IPL.<\/p>\n
Once the target chromophore has been determined (either melanin for pigment or Haemoglobin for veins and redness) it will be treated using the DYE VL or DYE SR handpiece which selectively targets the chromophore while keeping surrounding tissue intact. The target is destroyed and is broken down by the body and gradually filtered out over time.<\/p>\n
