Dark Circles
Dark circles under the eyes can have a variety of causes, including: dehydration, poor diet, lack of sleep and stress. The condition can result from the process of ageing, or may simply be part of your genetic make-up.
The eyes naturally have thinner, more delicate skin, compared to other facial features, making them more vulnerable to the symptoms caused by ageing. Blood vessels under the skin’s surface can often become easily more visible in this area, leading to a darkening under the eyes. Ageing can also be responsible for the development of puffiness to the eyes, causing shadows, which can also arise from volume loss in the tear trough. Overexposure to the sun can be another factor to consider, as this can lead to issues with Pigmentation – concerns that see a discolouration of the skin.
Improving the appearance of dark circles under the eyes can often be difficult, and this condition can often be enhanced with people who have a darker complexion. This concern can commonly be associated with fatigue and looking tired, leading to the affected person feeling unhappy with their appearance.
At Mediface, you will receive a bespoke treatment plan to target your specific concerns following a detailed consultation with one of our experienced medical practitioners, you may be offered one or more of the following treatments to help treat your dark under-eye circles including Morpheus8 Prime – microneedling with radiofrequency, Harmony XL Pro ClearLift Eyes – a non-ablative, fractional pixelated laser, dermal fillers and Hydrafacial plus Hydrafacial Eye Perk . Alongside these we may recommend a bespoke skincare plan, which can help to give the delicate skin around your eyes a tighter, brighter and more youthful appearance.
