HARMONY XL PRO™ Acne Protocol
ClearSkin PRO™ is the first technology to combine a non-ablative Er:GLASS 1540nm fractional laser with simultaneous contact cooling and vacuum technology to treat acne quickly, safely and effectively.
Non-ablative means it leaves the surface layer of the skin (epidermis) intact, thus, minimising side effects and downtime making it a very popular treatment for those with acne who don’t want to visually worsen their condition.
The integrated vacuum mechanism extracts accumulated sebum from the pores, whilst contact cooling protects the skin, reducing pain and allowing for safer and more effective treatment of the sebaceous glands within the dermis that cause acne breakouts.
ClearSkin PRO™ addresses all forms of acne vulgaris papules, pustules and nodules. It will also leave your skin with a gentle rejuvenation effect and will reduce the appearance of acne scars with its ability to stimulate collagen regrowth.
ClearSkin PRO™ treatment provides a permanent resolution for existing acne, however, there is no guarantee that acne will not return at a later date, and we may advise that you have maintenance treatments to help prevent this.

Am I a suitable candidate for Harmony Laser?
The team at Mediface Aesthetics will take a detailed look at your concerns and the individual condition of your skin, to determine whether this treatment will benefit you. ClearSkin PRO™ can be used on all skin types and acne concerns; however, prior to treatment a consultation will be carried out where you will be asked to give informed consent, and a test patch will be carried out at least 24 hours before your first treatment.
Is Harmony XL Pro™ safe?
The ClearSkin PRO™ acne laser treatment is clinically proven to be both safe and effective. It is always advisable to have these procedures performed by a skilled and trained medical professional to ensure a safe outcome. The procedure itself uses approved technologies and any concerns can be discussed with Mediface Aesthetics’ medically trained team, prior to treatment.
Is Harmony XL Pro™ painful?
During ClearSkin PRO™ acne laser treatment, you will feel the heat and light of the laser pass over your skin, but the cooling mechanism will make this comfortable for you. The vacuum will massage your skin as the pores are cleansed.
Are there any associated risks or side effects?
Developing any adverse reactions from undergoing this treatment is very rare, as the treatment is tailored to suit the individual needs of the patient. It is always recommended that the patient disclose any health information or details about their medical history to the team at Mediface during the pre-treatment consultation, to minimise the risk of developing any complications.
How much downtime can I expect to experience?
Immediately following treatment, you may experience some mild swelling or redness, but this will settle quickly.
You can return to work immediately.
However, we do recommend that you:
- Apply SPF 30 or above daily
- Avoid picking or squeezing any acne lesions
- Avoid heat treatments on your face for 24 hours
- Use acne skincare at home to support the reduction of acne
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks following treatment
